Dr. Driscol, a licensed psychiatrist, chose to "break rank"
in order to be able work closely with Dr. Sten. For the
past seven months, his research into THE MIND has
accelerated due to the contribution of Dr. Oliver
Ashford's daughter, Portia.

After a short "face to face" meeting with Dr. Sten,
Dr. Driscol honestly told Portia, "without elaborating"
the future plans of Dr. Sten and how they were
about to witness, in the coming months, a
"live demonstration" of Dr. Sten's theories.

To Dr. Driscol's surprise, Portia volunteered her
own physical body as a test subject, reasoning:

"Some things in life have to be experienced to be understood."

Dr. Driscol, impressed by her courage, immediately called
Dr. Sten and related to him, their conversation that day.

Three days after the call to Dr. Sten, Portia Ashford
walked into Dr. Driscol's office, but the MIND inside
her physical body belonged to Saskia Barend.
