Customs

As Gabe and Maria were about to slip into port,
a patrol boat intercepted them and two guards
boarded their small vessel.

Gabe and Maria were bearly outside, when the
two men, with stern faces roughly asked them
where they were going and what their business
in Belize was.

Thoughts of pushing Maria overboard, taking
these two men out, then diving himself quickly
raced through Logan's mind. He was about to
step forward, when one of the guards spoke:

Guard #1: You are lucky Jones put that tracking
device on your vessel. If we hadn't intercepted
you, "other interested parties" would have.
Forget Belize City - it's too hot! You two will board
our vessel and we will take you down to Punta Gorda.
I suspect Logan, it's the girl.

Logan quickly glanced at Solis

Guard #2: A lot - and I mean a lot of
people are interested in her. They say she has
gold or something. Its none of my business, but
as soon as you two get off, I strongly advise you
not to stay more that two days in Belize. The country
is small and its starting to smolder down here. He
then thrust a small box at Logan with an antenna
sticking out of it.

He told him: somebody wants to talk to you.

Cancer Man: I hope you like my package I sent you in Mexico.

Logan: I don't know what's going on but
I think I run into trouble every time I speak to you.

Cancer Man: Remember, you gave me
your cell number. Anyway, you're a very
lucky man Logan. The girl is wealthy
beyond anything you can believe and
a lot of people don't want her to know it.
From what I get, it's gold - you have to
take her and disappear. If you hadn't run into
her, she would probably be under her flower
garden that was once her house,

Logan: Got it, consider it done.

Cancer Man: Good - we're even now, Logon.
The clean up crew up north were called in as soon
as you two vanished.

Logan: I already have a route in mind.

Cancer Man: Good luck ... I'll be in touch ...

Logan: ...

The two guards drop Gabe and Solis
at Punta Gorda, held up two fingers,
turned their boat around, then vanished.
