Lost & Found

Without Ms. Chayim, Ms. Hnedy had to see Boeker alone.
Their quick "good byes" in Sweden was almost fated to happen.

From what she understood from her dreams when she woke up
that morning was, "leave Ms. Chayim to do whatever she
has to do - DO NOT QUESTION HER ACTIONS.
" Ms. Chayim
always had a confidence about her that she admired; she bid
her farewell and was now heading for Tonder, Denmark.

Another dream.....this time a man will sit next to her...on a train....
SHE MUST TALK TO HIM - DO NOT LET HIM GET OFF THAT TRAIN
WITHOUT HER ATLEAST SAYING "HELLO"
!
- Decker's future depended on it!

What could all these dreams mean? The train just left and the
only thing next to her was an empty seat.

Ms. Hnedy got up to "shake it off" and by the time she got back
to her seat, the empty seat was still empty, but her seat was not!
It was occupied by an older gentleman already dozing away!

Could that be him? She didn't see the image of "the man she is
to meet on the train
" clearly in her dreams, but she knew he
had to be younger than this man! She liked "the window seat" too!
She quietly took her belongings and moved to the empty seat behind her.

Anders Boeker: "Excuse me miss...that is my seat." Was all she heard.

Ms. Hnedy: You've got to be kidding me! (thinking: "I think I just did what the older
gentleman did to me !") Perhaps if I pretend to be dozing....

Anders Boeker: "Excuse me miss...that is my seat." he said again...louder.

Ms. Hnedy wanted to storm out to the next cabin when she almost dropped her portable DVD player!

Ms. Hnedy: "YOU!" I just saw you on the plane to Copenhagen! Your tie, your vest cannot be mistaken!

Anders Boeker: Yes! I am coming back from a year abroad! I haven't seen my mother in over a year!
She lives in Tonder....Where are you heading?

Ms. Hnedy thinking ( It's him! I can remember the outlines of his face! Ms. Hnedy just
couldn't "put it together" on the plane!)

Ms. Hnedy: I'm going to Tonder too! (She was speaking faster than she could think! Before
she knew it, Ms. Hnedy told him the address of the hotel she was to stay.)

Anders told her that his mother lives in that neighborhood! He has been back packing in Cairo, Johannesburg, New Zealand and Los Angeles; then took a quick trip to Greenland then Norway, "while he was in the neighborhood" decided to see his mother! He told her his name is "Anders Boeker". Ms. Hnedy almost jumped out the train window! YOU ARE WHO? Are you from South Africa? she asked. Anders gave her a long strange "how do you know" look, but told her he moved back to Denmark with his mother after his father passed away. He could vaguely remember South Africa. Ms. Hnedy "went for broke"! She asked him if he had a brother by the name of "Arjan"? His face flushed! Are you some type of psychic? First the "Are you from South Africa, now you know my long lost brother's first name! Hey, while we're at it, what will the lotto numbers be next week...." Ms Hnedy cut him off....I have an appointment his Arjan, I'm on my way from Iceland.... Would you.....(the words just came out)....Would you like to go see him? I know where he is staying! Anders felt he was now in a dream! He blurted out, "of course!" After Arjan's mother died, he "went off" and did his own thing. He just "vanished" the only reason he gave my father was "he didn't want to put him in any danger", but made sure he was well taken care of!

The Meeting with Arjan was just as magical as the meeting on the train! Ms. Karel, seeing
only Ms. Hnedy had a look of relief on her face! The Boekers' reunion could not be explained
in words....but the last words Boeker said to Ms. Hnedy before she left was:

"Decker's in."
