A Question of Fate
The Third: How can such a decision fall on my shoulders? The Elder: It is a matter of fate, you cannot change it! The Third: What if I make a wrong decision? The Elder: Do what you feel is right. Look at it this way, how can your decision be "wrong" if you do not know (understand) the future outcome of that decision? The Third: Our family is strong, so I do not want to appear, "meek". Then again, our family has wisdom, so I do not want to appear, "arrogant". The Elder: If you want to make a weighty decision, make a wise one! The Third: Our wisdom has given me a picture of the future, but what wisdom do you speak of? The Elder: I define "wisdom" as "The comprehension of The Truth"; so make sure you comprehend a lot of truth, before dinner! The Third: What Truth? The Elder: "That the future of our clan depends on the decision you make."
